How much does an employment background check cost?
Our Standard Background Check is $26 per applicant and includes an SSN trace, address history and alias search, unlimited county criminal searches across a 7-year address history, and nationwide criminal, sex offender, OFAC, OIG, GSA, and SAM searches.
How much does a background check with driving history cost?
The Background Check + Driving History package is $31 per applicant. It includes everything in the Standard package plus an MVR driving history report — ideal for companies whose employees drive as part of the job.
How does the SSN Trace work? Do I need to collect address history from the candidate?
No — you don’t need to collect address history from your candidates. The SSN Trace automatically identifies every address associated with the candidate’s Social Security number over the past 7 years, along with any name variations or aliases. We then use those addresses to determine which county criminal courts to search. This means more complete coverage than relying on self-reported addresses, since candidates can’t omit places they’ve lived.
Do you offer volume discounts on background checks?
Yes. Volume pricing starts at 50 checks per month: 5% off at 50–99 checks/month, 10% off at 100–249, and 15% off at 250+. Discounts apply automatically to your per-check pricing.
Are there setup fees or contracts?
No setup fees and no long-term contracts. You pay per applicant. Some searches may incur pass-through costs such as court access fees, third-party verification database costs, or state DMV fees.
